What are ITC-Conference Grants?
ITC Conference Grants are a new networking tool of COST. ITC Conference grants help PhD students and early-career investigators from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries to attend international science and technology related conferences that are not specifically organised by a COST Action. COST thus financially contributes to the participation of young researchers from ITC countries in international conferences.
Who can apply and what can you apply for?
Any e-COST user who is a PhD student or an Early Career Investigator (ECI) and is affiliated with an institution located in an ITC country that is participating in the Action* can submit an application request for an ITC Conference Grant. The applicant must be engaged in an official research programme as a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow.
The grant can cover travel costs, subsistence costs (max 160 euro per day) and conference fees (max 500 euros). Note that our COST action will limit grants to max 2000 euros per application.
* ITC countries participating in our Action are: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Croatia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Republic of Serbia, and Turkey. (other ITC countries are Albania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Montenegro, Romania, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
Detailed information on participants’ eligibility, evaluation and selection, financial support, and grant payment procedures can be found in Section 8 of the COST Vademecum.
When can you apply?
Application deadline is November 28, 2018. The application should be submitted at least 45 days before the conference start date. The conference should take place within the running time of the COST Action, i.e. end before March 1, 2019.
How can you apply?
You can apply for an ITC-CG online; instructions can be found in the new user guide.
